The room was compact but had all that we needed for our 3-day Rome visit. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We appreciated the staff and their helpful service. Once staff member even tried to help our daughter-in-law (who also stayed at the hotel) find a landmark from long ago. That was a nice touch.

The neighborhood streets were not the best, yet it was handy. We enjoyed the nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel staff.

The location (not noisy) is within walking distance of the railway, providing trains to the airport, and of the bus and metrostation and much of the centre of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, with adequate command of English. The accommodation was clean and all the facilities worked. The en suite bathroom and shower were a little compact. I'd certainly commend this hotel to others seeking 3-star accommodation.

I enjoyed the quiet and cleanliness of the room, the French doors that opened to a small shared balcony, the generosity of US sized towels, the tile floor, the free room Wi-Fi, the ample lighting in the room (including recessed lighting), the in room safe and mini-fridge, the generous breakfast and service-oriented breakfast room staff, the convenience of the lift, and the tasteful room decor.

The hotel served well for a comfortable safe stay if you don't mind learning the very do-able transit system to explore other areas. (Buy a pass for ease of on and off travel - feel like a local!) Not as walkable to the historic district as I would prefer, but the #492 (accessed at Pz. Independencia or 2 blocks on Volturno (as well as buses and metro from the nearby train station) make other areas of Rome quite accessible.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean. The location was convenient to the main train station, but in a neighborhood that was considerably nicer and safer than the one right near the station. Breakfast was more than adequate.

the room itself, the location and above all the cleanliness of the room and bathroom; the attention to details of the room furbishment

This was our third trip to Rome in eighteen months and The Camelia gave us the best room we have had in the termini area. The room was very clean and the room and en-suite gave us more space than we have experienced at other hotels. The bed was very comfortable and there was ample storage space. The en-suite facilities were gave an air of luxury and was spotlessly clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Rome on a short trip. The staff were very helpful and efficient. The breakfast, continental as you would expect was plentiful and gave reasonable choice, but I would like to have seen some sliced cheeses and cured meats. Overall the establishment exceeded the standards I anticipated from other reviews.

Television needs up dating in the bedroom.

  • Older travelers
    9.6

The hotel is located relatively close to Termini station offering many transport facilities, but it is also close to some attractions that can be reached on foot. The room was very clean and comfortable, the air conditioner was fine (especially with the August heat!). And the staff was very friendly. We gladly recommend it to others!

Breakfast should be more consistent (sausage) and more diversified, and television would be well to have more channels, not just three (though you don't have much time for it!)

  • Family with children

Room very clean, staff very helpful and pleasant.

We liked the clean, comfortable, artful design of the room. The photos and descriptions of the hotel were exactly what we got - no unpleasant surprises. Great location - not far from Termini station (10 min on foot) and very close to Metro station. The staff of hotel was wonderful - very helpfull, polite and attentive.I Really would go there again.

This is the best 3 star I have stayed in

  • Older travelers

The staff was very helpful with our stay. Gino at the front desk was very nice. We got a map of the city right away, and help with directions. The nice girl in the evening told us about a very good cafe around the corner and we had a great meal. The breakfast in the morning was also very nice with a lot of choices and nicley laid out.

The power had gone out (not their fault) for awhile and our air conditioning could never keep up after it came back on. We were very hot the whole night even with it running non stop. The room was beautiful though and spotless! Wen would stay again!

  • Family with children
    8.8

Enjoyed our stay here. Room was big enough for three of us, beds comfortable, air-con worked fine and room very clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. All staff we met were very friendly and courteous. Location very convenient, less than ten minutes walk from Termini Station with suitcases. Area was safe and plenty of options for eating and a supermarket nearby. Overall excellent value.

There was a power cut on our last night and there was no emergency lighting in the corridors pointing to exits. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

  • Older travelers
    8.8

Location was excellent. Eventhough our room was overlooking the street we did not hear a sound. Air conditioning was fab.

Lift was very slow and breakfast would be better had some meats been included.

  • Single
    5.4

Close to termini station. Good size of room. Decent breakfast

If I had to say something, and at the end of the day this was not a problem, but for some people the shower might be a bit small. It was ok for me

  • Group of friends
    8.8

The staff were professional, the hotel was clean and everything in the room functioned well. The mattresses were firm. The breakfast had many options from eggs to pastries and cereals.

It is located near Termini, which is not the "trendy" part of Rome, however as we liked to walk, we didn't mind this. You get a lot more for your money in this part of Rome.
